This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• New Business Prospecting: You will be driving to various locations, participating in local cattle auctions, engaging with your local Livestock, Cattleman's, and Stockman's associations, and developing your business pipeline through outbound lead generation efforts. You will respond to inbound leads promptly while prioritizing administrative tasks alongside your field activities.
• Field Sales Engagement: You are not afraid to get your hands and boots dirty. Discussing Halter is best done over coffee at a kitchen table, while in the saddle, or on a side-by-side in a pasture. You will be out on the ranch assisting potential customers before highlighting the value of Halter. You’ll even deliver coffee during calving season, cherishing the special moments that make a difference for our customers.
• Expanding Current Opportunities: You are always on the lookout for new opportunities, including enhancing relationships with existing customers using Halter. You appreciate the importance of fostering relationships and discovering innovative ways to add value over time. Recognizing that not every rancher will collar all their cows, you view this as a unique chance to achieve your goals.
• Achieving Sales Targets: High-growth sales targets do not intimidate you; you embrace challenges and aspire for high achievement. You are a skilled pipeline manager who confidently disqualifies leads when necessary. You can manage current deals while keeping an eye on future prospects.
• Customer Account Management: For you, building relationships goes beyond just making a sale. After the sale, you aim to maintain strong ties with your customers to ensure their ongoing satisfaction, offer support, and tackle any challenges they face with Halter’s products. You will also facilitate a seamless transition from sales to customer onboarding and the deployment of Halter, helping customers derive maximum value from Halter’s solutions.
• Territory Ownership: You possess a strong sense of ownership and take pride in what you cultivate. Owning a territory means giving attention to every detail and leaving no stone unturned. You value being the representative of your territory, connecting with high-level stakeholders from various local, state, and federal agencies to nurture lasting relationships with regional agricultural groups.
• Customer Onboarding: Your sense of ownership extends beyond the sale. You are dedicated to ensuring that your customers have the best onboarding experience possible. You actively manage the entire customer experience during onboarding and deployment of Halter’s product, ensuring a smooth transition from sales to implementation, even after handing off the customer to different teams within Halter.
• Field Insights & Feedback: Feedback is crucial not only for the companies you wish to join but is also integral to how you manage your territory. As the primary point of contact for collecting customer feedback in your area, you work diligently to advocate for your customers' needs.
• Collaboration with Support Teams: You are a natural collaborator, seeking partnerships across Halter to resolve any issues your customers face swiftly. You escalate problems when necessary, ensuring that customers in your territory feel completely supported.
• Participation in Industry Events: You capitalize on opportunities at relevant industry and Halter events to generate leads and strengthen relationships with existing customers. You will participate in demonstrations and network to enhance Halter’s presence in the market.
• Contributing to the US Sales Strategy: You firmly believe that teamwork enhances strength. You strive to collaborate with the broader team to refine and adapt the sales process to suit the US market. As we grow, your insights will help drive greater efficiencies.
• Driven Attitude & Communication Skills: You are results-oriented, motivated, and adaptable, excelling in high-pressure environments. You are well-prepared and adept at communicating with both customers and internal teams. You take initiative and do not hesitate to act.
• Ranching / Cattle Experience: You are knowledgeable about the intricacies of ranching or cattle operations, understanding the unique challenges of the industry. This experience allows you to connect with customers on what matters most.
• Sales & Customer Success Expertise: You have a proven track record of creating new business opportunities, negotiating value-based sales conversations, and fostering lasting customer relationships. You focus on building relationships rather than transactional sales, aiming for long-term success stories and identifying upsell opportunities.
• Territory Management Experience: You have experience managing a large territory with a balanced emphasis on sales and customer success, preferably within agriculture or technology.
• Problem Solving & Collaboration Skills: You are resourceful and quick-thinking, effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams to address challenges and drive solutions.
• Willingness to Travel: You are open to frequent travel within your territory to engage with customers and prospects.
• Halter provides an annual USD$750 self-development budget for any personal growth initiatives.
