This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• New Business Prospecting: You will be driving up driveways, attending local cattle auctions, and meeting with your local Livestock, Cattleman's, and Stockman's associations to build your new business pipeline through outbound lead generation efforts. You’ll also be managing inbound leads promptly while prioritizing administrative tasks alongside your in-field activities.
• In-Field Sales: You don't hesitate to get your hands and boots dirty. Discussions about Halter are best held over coffee at a kitchen table, while horseback riding, or on a side-by-side in a pasture. You’ll be out on the ranch assisting potential customers before exploring the value of Halter. You'll even drop off coffee during calving season because you appreciate those magical moments that make a difference for our customers.
• Expanding Current Opportunities: You continually seek new opportunities, including expanding your existing customer base with Halter. You recognize the importance of deepening relationships and discovering new ways to add value over time. Since not every rancher will collar all of their cows, you see this as a unique opportunity to achieve your goals.
• Achieving Sales Targets: You are not intimidated by high-growth sales targets; instead, you embrace challenges and aim high. As an expert pipeline manager, you confidently disqualify leads without hesitation. You excel at managing current deals while keeping future goals in sight.
• Customer Account Management: For you, building relationships goes beyond making a sale. After a sale, you focus on maintaining strong connections with customers to ensure their ongoing satisfaction, providing support, and addressing any challenges they encounter with Halter’s products. You will also facilitate a seamless transition from sales to customer onboarding and deployment of Halter, ensuring customers derive maximum value from Halter’s solutions.
• Territory Ownership: You take immense pride in what you cultivate and hold a high level of ownership. Managing an entire territory involves attending to every detail and leaving no stone unturned. You value being the representative of your territory, engaging with high-level stakeholders from various local, state, and federal agencies to foster long-lasting relationships with regional agricultural groups.
• Customer Onboarding: Your commitment to ownership extends beyond the sale. You strive to ensure that your customers receive the best onboarding experience possible. You actively manage the entire customer experience during onboarding and the deployment of Halter’s product, ensuring a smooth transition from sales to implementation, even when handing off customers to different teams across Halter.
• Field Learnings & Feedback: Gathering customer feedback is crucial not just for the companies you aim to work with, but also integral to how you manage your territory. As the primary point of contact for customer feedback in your area, you advocate tirelessly for your customers' needs.
• Collaborating with Support Teams: You are a natural collaborator, proactively seeking partners across Halter to quickly resolve any issues your customers face. You escalate problems as necessary and ensure that your customers in the territory feel fully supported.
• Attending Industry Events: You take advantage of opportunities at relevant industry and Halter events to generate leads and strengthen relationships with existing customers. You will engage in demonstrations and networking to enhance Halter’s market presence.
• Contributing to the US Sales Strategy: You firmly believe that teamwork enhances strength. You aim to collaborate with the broader team to refine and evolve the sales process, ensuring its alignment with the US market. As we grow, your insights will play a vital role in driving greater efficiencies.
• Driven Attitude & Communication Skills: You are results-oriented, motivated, and adaptable, excelling in high-pressure environments. You are well-prepared and proficient in communicating with both customers and internal teams. You take initiative and are proactive in your actions.
• Ranching / Cattle Experience: You possess a solid understanding of ranching or cattle operations, recognizing the unique challenges within the industry. This experience enables you to connect meaningfully with customers regarding what matters most to them.
• Sales & Customer Success Expertise: You have a proven track record of creating new business opportunities, engaging in value-based sales discussions, and establishing lasting customer relationships. Your focus is on building relationships rather than transactional sales, aiming for long-term success stories and expanding existing relationships through upselling opportunities.
• Territory Management Experience: You have experience managing a large territory while balancing a focus on sales and customer success, ideally within agriculture or technology sectors.
• Problem Solving & Collaboration Ability: You are resourceful and quick-thinking, effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams to tackle challenges and drive solutions.
• Willingness to Travel: You are prepared to travel frequently within your territory to engage with customers and prospects.
