This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mississippi.
• Business Prospecting: You will be driving to various locations, attending local cattle auctions, and engaging with local Livestock, Cattlemans, and Stockmans associations to build a robust pipeline through outbound lead generation. You will handle inbound leads promptly while balancing administrative responsibilities with field activities.
• Field Sales Engagement: You are unafraid to get your hands and boots dirty. Conversations about Halter are best held over coffee at a kitchen table, while in the horse saddle, or in a side-by-side on the ranch. You will be present on ranches, assisting potential customers before discussing the value of Halter. You even deliver coffee during calving season, valuing those meaningful moments that significantly impact our customers.
• Growing Existing Accounts: You continuously seek new opportunities, including expanding your existing customer base with Halter. You appreciate the importance of nurturing relationships and discovering innovative ways to enhance value over time. Recognizing that not every rancher will collar all their cows, you view this as a distinct opportunity to achieve your goals.
• Achieving Sales Goals: High-growth sales targets motivate you rather than intimidate you; you embrace challenges and aim high. You are proficient at managing your pipeline and do not hesitate to disqualify leads when necessary. You skillfully handle current deals while keeping future opportunities in sight.
• Customer Relationship Management: For you, building relationships transcends making sales. Post-sale, you strive to maintain close connections with your customers to ensure ongoing satisfaction, provide support, and tackle any challenges they may face with Halter's products. You will facilitate a seamless handoff from sales to customer onboarding and deployment, ensuring customers derive maximum value from Halter’s solutions.
• Territory Management: You take great pride in owning your territory, treating every area with care and leaving no stone unturned. You value being the representative of your territory, engaging with high-level stakeholders from various local, state, and federal agencies to cultivate lasting relationships with regional agricultural groups.
• Customer Onboarding Experience: Your commitment to ownership extends beyond the sale. You ensure that your customers have the best onboarding experience possible, taking charge of the entire customer journey from sales through to the deployment of Halter’s products, even after transitioning customers to different teams within Halter.
• Gathering Field Insights & Feedback: Feedback is essential not only to the companies you wish to work for but also to how you manage your territory. As the primary contact for collecting customer feedback, you diligently advocate for your customers' needs.
• Collaboration with Support Teams: You are a natural collaborator, seeking partnerships across Halter to swiftly resolve any customer issues. You escalate problems as necessary and ensure that customers in your territory feel fully supported.
• Participation in Industry Events: You capitalize on opportunities at relevant industry and Halter events to generate leads and strengthen relationships with existing customers. You will engage in demonstrations and networking to enhance Halter’s market presence.
• Contribution to US Sales Strategy: You firmly believe that teamwork enhances strength. You aim to collaborate with the broader team to refine and advance the sales process to meet the needs of the US market. As we grow, your insights will contribute to improved efficiencies.
• Proactive Attitude & Communication Skills: You are results-driven, motivated, and adaptable, thriving in high-pressure environments. You are well-equipped to communicate effectively with both customers and internal teams. You take initiative and do not wait to take action.
• Experience in Ranching / Cattle Operations: You are well-versed in ranching or cattle operations and understand the unique challenges of the industry. This background enables you to connect with customers on what matters most.
• Sales & Customer Success Proficiency: You possess a solid track record of creating new business opportunities, engaging in value-based sales discussions, and fostering lasting customer relationships. Your approach focuses on building relationships rather than making transactional sales, striving for long-term success and the potential for upselling.
• Territory Management Experience: You have experience managing a large territory with a balanced emphasis on sales and customer success, preferably in agriculture or technology.
• Problem-Solving & Collaborative Skills: You are resourceful and quick-thinking, effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams to tackle challenges and drive solutions.
• Willingness to Travel: You are prepared to travel frequently within your territory to connect with customers and prospects.
• Personal growth is a priority for us. Halter provides an annual USD$750 self-development budget for initiatives that promote personal development.
• Health Benefits: We offer top-tier insurance for our employees to ensure they can care for themselves and their families.
• Generous Parental Leave: We provide 16 weeks of paid parental leave for primary caregivers and 8 weeks for secondary caregivers, along with various other parental benefits to support you and your family.
• Work-Life Balance: We value our employees' time to recharge, offering wellness leave and unlimited paid annual leave.
• 401k Plan: We are proud to offer a 401k plan with employer matching—a 100% match on the first 3% you contribute and a 50% match on the next 2%.
• Competitive Compensation: We provide an inclusive and attractive compensation package comprising salary, benefits, and an employee stock ownership plan.
