This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.
• Overseeing agency performance metrics such as production, premium growth, profitability, retention, submission activity, and overall agency outcomes.
• Creating and implementing business strategies aimed at fostering profitable growth and enhancing agency performance.
• Establishing, managing, and nurturing robust relationships with appointed agents, producers, and agency leaders.
• Acting as the main point of contact between Builders Mutual and agency partners.
• Collaborating with agencies to explore growth opportunities, including strategies for larger and more complex accounts.
• Providing agents with education on Builders Mutual products, services, underwriting appetite, eligibility criteria, pricing philosophy, and cross-selling possibilities.
• Leading the resolution of inquiries and concerns from agencies while ensuring a positive partnership experience.
• Overseeing territory profitability and implementing strategic action plans to enhance growth, retention, and overall performance.
• Working closely with underwriting, claims, risk management, marketing, and internal teams to facilitate agency success.
• Keeping up-to-date with market trends and competitor activities within the designated territory.
• Bachelor’s degree and 5–7 years of experience in property and casualty insurance, ideally in territory management, agency management, business development, or relationship management.
• In-depth understanding of commercial insurance principles, policy language, and underwriting practices.
• Capability to build trust and influence among agency partners and internal stakeholders.
• Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and presentation abilities.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to analyze performance metrics and identify growth opportunities.
• Self-driven with exceptional time management and organizational skills.
• Capacity to handle multiple priorities while working autonomously.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and business technology tools.
