This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oklahoma.
• Oversee a designated territory, driving profitable premium growth while achieving sales, financial, and operational objectives.
• Formulate and implement territory and agency strategies aimed at boosting new business, client retention, and market share.
• Collaborate with underwriters to pinpoint opportunities, assess risks, manage pipelines, and secure favorable business.
• Cultivate relationships with agency owners, leaders, producers, and frontline staff as a reliable business partner.
• Identify, evaluate, onboard, and nurture new agency partnerships.
• Deliver agency training on EMC products, underwriting preferences, systems, sales techniques, and business processes.
• Counsel agencies on coverages, underwriting philosophy, premiums, claims, and avenues for growth.
• Direct agency business planning, sales strategies, and performance evaluations.
• Track agency performance metrics and refine strategies to enhance growth, profitability, business mix, and submission quality.
• Collect and disseminate market intelligence, competitor insights, and industry trends.
• Represent EMC at agency meetings, industry events, and trade associations.
• Mentor branch team members on agency operations, relationship management, and complex business scenarios.
• Bachelor's degree, ideally in marketing or business, or equivalent relevant work experience.
• A minimum of five years' experience in property and casualty underwriting, claims, sales territory development, agency, or a related field.
• Insurance designations such as CPCU or CIC, or an agent license are preferred.
• Comprehensive understanding of the property and casualty insurance sector.
• Advanced knowledge of independent agency operations, market conditions, and competitor insights.
• Exceptional problem-solving capabilities and sound decision-making skills.
• Strong sales and negotiation abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including proficiency in presentations.
• Strong organizational, time management, and planning skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Office and social media platforms.
• Demonstrated leadership qualities.
• Travel is required.
• A valid driver's license with an acceptable motor vehicle report as per company standards is necessary for driving.
