This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Louisiana, +2 more states.
• Overseeing the territory of Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and western TN to foster and support the growth of Neogen Food Safety Products.
• Executing and implementing business priorities effectively.
• Achieving financial and forecasting objectives.
• Conducting business planning to spur growth with direct, indirect (channel), Key Accounts, and targeted market segments.
• Crafting sales strategies and adapting to evolving market and competitive dynamics for complex product lines while collaborating across various business functions.
• Independently managing and expanding business within a designated geographical area.
• Closing and increasing sales through professional engagement with both existing and prospective clients.
• Identifying and addressing client concerns; proposing actionable solutions to prevent future issues.
• Enhancing market awareness of our products and industry expertise by effectively communicating the features and benefits of our offerings.
• Keeping records of customer communications and contact details as necessary.
• Delivering technical presentations and webinars.
• Preparing responses to Requests for Proposals (RFP) and Requests for Information (RFI).
• Participating in trade shows, conferences, and other marketing events.
• Possessing knowledge of pricing calculations.
• Researching market requirements and analyzing market data.
• Staying informed about competitor products and reporting on competitor pricing or marketing strategies.
• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of Neogen products.
• Demonstrating and explaining best practices for installation techniques for all Neogen products.
• A Bachelor of Science Degree in Microbiology, Science, or Sales is preferred.
• A proven history of effective time and territory management.
• A strong sales performance record and a history of meeting or exceeding forecasts.
• Attention to detail and critical thinking skills.
• Experience with SalesForce.com or other Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.
• Familiarity with 'Solution Selling' methodologies.
• Proficient computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office.
