Temporary Desk Adjuster

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Conduct investigations, evaluations, and resolutions of property claims in line with client guidelines and industry best practices.

• Review policy language, endorsements, and coverage to make informed decisions on claim handling.

• Approve payments, settlements, or denials based on documented damages and field reports.

• Establish and maintain precise claim reserves throughout the entire claim lifecycle.

• Oversee daily claims operations, including setup, diaries, documentation review, data entry, and file organization.

• Communicate professionally with insured parties, claimants, vendors, attorneys, and internal team members.

• Draft clear, technical claim documentation and correspondence.

• Ensure adherence to internal processes, service standards, and regulatory requirements.

• Achieve productivity and quality goals in a dynamic environment.

• Work collaboratively with team members to enhance workflows and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in property claim handling is preferred.

• Experience with Xactimate estimating is required; Cotality (Symbility) estimating experience is a plus.

• Possession of valid adjusting licenses.

• Prior experience in claims, insurance, administrative support, or a related field.

• Strong skills in policy interpretation and professional writing.

• Ability to make independent decisions with a proactive approach to resolving claims.

• Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.

• Capability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

• Strong customer service orientation with excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

• Willingness to learn new systems and adapt to technology.

• Spanish-speaking skills are an advantage.
