Telehealth Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner – Eating Disorders

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +9 more states.

📋 Description

• Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and ongoing medication management for patients with complex psychiatric issues, including eating disorders and co-occurring conditions.

• Deliver comprehensive psychiatric assessments and offer consultations to external psychiatric providers for continued care under this provider.

• Develop and implement medication treatment plans for individuals dealing with eating disorders and co-occurring conditions in a virtual clinic (telehealth) environment.

• Assess medical risks associated with eating disorders within the psychiatric care scope, including the impact of eating disorder behaviors on psychiatric symptoms, medication choices, safety, and care level requirements.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team consisting of medical professionals, dietitians, therapists, patient mentors, family mentors, and external providers.

• Use between-session messaging to assist patients and maintain communication with the treatment team through Equip’s EMR, adhering to Equip’s policies and procedures.

• Actively participate in treatment team meetings, supervision, learning opportunities, and departmental gatherings.

• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Board Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.

• Hold an active license to practice in the states where patients reside and/or be open to obtaining licensure in additional states (covered by Equip).

• Show dedication to delivering exceptional evidence-based care, enhancing clinical skills, and a passion for professional growth.

• Communicate effectively with patients and their caregivers, ensuring timely responses to messages.

• Exhibit curiosity, a love for learning, and active participation in a multidisciplinary team.

• Have comfort and experience treating patients with eating disorders, emotional dysregulation, suicidal thoughts, substance use, trauma, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, personality disorders, and attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder.
