Telecommunications Central Office Installer – Level III

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Join installation teams at customer sites nationwide.

• Utilize vehicles, hand tools, power tools, ladders, lifts, and testing equipment.

• Must have achieved installation proficiency as per Telco Standard TP76300 and be capable of executing all responsibilities of Installer Level 3 or 2 with exceptional skill and precision.

• Should have extensive equipment installation expertise across a diverse range of systems and installations, including AC/DC Power systems, low/high-density fiber systems, inside plant iron infrastructure, and supervisory/alarm systems.

• Responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization in all storage, staging, and work areas on-site.

• Possess a thorough understanding of general company policies, safety procedures, paperwork, and administrative requirements.

• Capable of reading, understanding, and applying job/equipment specifications, installation documents, and schematics.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3+ years of installation experience or a combination of experience and training as assessed by company management.

• Familiarity with AT&T Central Office installation practices is advantageous.

• Experience in DC Power Installation is a plus.

• Ability to physically install, remove, or modify both operational and non-operational equipment, including:

• Cable trays and/or racking

• Data equipment cabinets and frames

• Data servers, switches, routers, repeaters, bridges, gateways, multiplexers, transceivers, firewalls

• BDFBs and fuse panels

• Identify, label, measure, terminate, and physically route the cables that provide AC and/or DC power or transmit data in various technical environments.

• Must demonstrate the ability to apply common sense understanding to follow instructions provided in written, oral, or diagram formats.

• Proficient in laptop computer usage and familiar with relevant applications.

• Skills in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams) are a plus.

• Have knowledge of tools necessary for completing advanced assignments and installations.

• Must possess a valid driver’s license, pass all pre-employment background checks, and be insurable. A valid passport is a plus!
