Director, Communications

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead the implementation of our external communications strategy in collaboration with internal stakeholders such as product and growth marketing, content, analyst relations, and leadership teams.

• Collaborate closely with external PR agency partners to develop and execute our communications strategy targeting top-tier global business, technology, and security media across both traditional and emerging media platforms (Substack, podcasts, influencers).

• Expand and diversify our thought leadership on topics including AI, security, trust in an agentic world, and the future of automation, while identifying new channels to enhance Vanta's brand recognition.

• Incorporate our first-party data storytelling initiative (Trust Signals) into executive thought leadership, external messaging, and earned media coverage.

• Work cross-functionally on external events and brand marketing opportunities to highlight Vanta’s position in Agentic Trust. Develop and implement internal communications moments such as monthly All Hands meetings, internal newsletters for cross-company alignment, and more.

• Collaborate with Operations, Marketing, and Leadership teams on various operational efficiency initiatives designed to enhance our working and communication methods as a rapidly growing global organization.

• Leverage AI with sound judgment and taste to scale our initiatives and maximize impact.

⛳️ Requirements

• 10-12+ years of experience in Communications, whether in-house, agency, or a mix of both.

• Possess strong relationships in both new and traditional media, excellent writing skills, a keen awareness of AI/B2B/Security trends, and a willingness to experiment with AI.

• A well-rounded communications expert with enthusiasm for both external and internal communications efforts.

• A self-starter who enjoys collaborating across various teams within the organization to foster alignment and clarity.

• Open to utilizing AI to enhance their capabilities and improve their work, showcasing curiosity, a desire to learn, and sound judgment in applying AI responsibly for greater efficiency and impact.
