Technology Reporter – Business of Tech, AI & Power

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Generate a consistent flow of exclusive insights and comprehensive analytical articles.

• Establish and nurture high-level connections within AI laboratories, key technology firms, venture and growth capital, as well as the political landscape surrounding tech policy.

• Craft influential narratives that link corporate and policy decisions with capital growth, geopolitical rivalry, and technological advancement.

• Work collaboratively with journalists from business, finance, politics, and international sectors on interdisciplinary stories.

• Engage in live journalism, including breaking news coverage and on-the-record discussions with senior business and political leaders.

• Report on the technology sector with an emphasis on AI, finance, influence, and politics.

• Monitor major technology firms, their business strategies, capital growth, and political sway.

• Analyze how AI is transforming industries and reshaping markets, as well as how governments in Washington, Brussels, and Beijing are responding to these changes.

• Contribute to newsletters, broadcasts, live journalism, and collaborative efforts across various platforms within the newsroom.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of five years of relevant experience in technology or business journalism.

• Proven history of developing deep sourcing within companies and venture capital.

• Demonstrated ability to combine insider insights with authoritative “what-it-means” interpretations.

• A defined voice and incisive perspectives on significant technology topics.

• Experience working in dynamic, high-stakes newsroom settings.

• Openness to contribute wherever the team requires support.

• A strong passion for news and a keen interest in the intersection of technology and power.

• Capability to cultivate and sustain executive-level sources within major AI labs, venture capital, private equity, on Capitol Hill, and within the White House and federal agencies.
