This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Propose innovative and engaging story concepts.

• Cultivate sources to uncover news and create exclusive pieces.

• Write efficiently and meet deadlines.

• Collaborate with colleagues within the department and newsroom to brainstorm story ideas and narrative techniques.

• Work alongside reporters in bureaus nationwide on business, political, and national news topics.

• Investigate storytelling methods beyond traditional formats.

• Engage in Globe subscriber events.

• Report on Saskatchewan-related issues and deliver impactful national news coverage.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of five years of reporting experience with a news organization.

• Interest in and experience with political and business reporting.

• Talent for crafting stories in Saskatchewan that resonate outside the province.

• Exceptional writing skills with a diverse range, from hard news to human-interest features and explanatory pieces.

• Strong news judgment and a proven record of enterprise reporting.

• Proficient in various formats, including live blogs, newsletters, video, and audio.

• Must reside in Regina.

• Willingness to travel frequently for assignments.

• A cover letter including three links to previous work and a resume submitted by the applicant.
