Technical Writer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conduct research, draft, edit, and publish user-focused support articles, release notes, and user manuals for Neon One’s nonprofit software platform.

• Collaborate with Instructional Designers to jointly develop and enhance Neon One Academy courses and learning pathways.

• Convert intricate software mechanics, APIs, and workflows into actionable instructions for nonprofit professionals.

• Organize content with a clear hierarchy, structured data, semantically rich headers, and modular documentation tailored for RAG/AI search models.

• Ensure technical documentation is in sync with video scripts, interactive guides, and visual learning resources.

• Review, update, and maintain support articles and Academy content as the platform develops.

• Guarantee that all content adheres to Neon One’s brand voice, style guidelines, and accessibility standards.

• Leverage generative AI tools, including LLMs, AI editing assistants, and automated research instruments, to enhance documentation processes.

• Organize technical content for ingestion, summarization, and retrieval by both internal and external AI knowledge agents.

• Work in partnership with cross-functional teams including product, support, UX, and instructional design.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in technical writing, product documentation, or technical content creation in a B2B SaaS context.

• Proficient in using AI writing and editing tools to boost productivity, analyze content, and automate routine tasks.

• Knowledge of how NLP and LLM retrieval systems interpret text.

• Capability to produce structured, machine-readable documentation.

• Experience collaborating with Instructional Designers, Learning & Development, or Training teams.

• Proven ability to work with Product Managers, Support Engineers, and UX Designers.

• Familiarity with knowledge base platforms such as Zendesk, Salesforce Knowledge, or Intercom.

• Experience with LMS tools.

• Familiarity with the nonprofit tech ecosystem is a plus.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a plus.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
