Senior Technical Writer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Switzerland.

📋 Description

• Develop, revise, and uphold documentation for the Isovalent Enterprise Platform and Hypershield.

• Assist in the creation of technical documentation for Isovalent’s Cilium distribution and Hypershield, which includes operational documents, training materials, and guides.

• Collaborate closely with engineering teams and solution architects to produce superior technical content.

• Perform reviews and conduct surveys with customers to enhance documentation and information architecture.

• Disseminate best practices for documentation and developer content among maintainers, product development teams, and the wider community.

• Foster a culture of documentation both within the company and in the community.

• Work alongside engineering colleagues to translate subject matter expertise into high-quality documentation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience as a Technical Writer specializing in Enterprise products.

• Proficient in networking, security, and Cloud Native technologies.

• Skilled in creating user guides, documentation, and assisting enterprise users.

• Strong passion for producing high-quality technical content.

• Practical experience with documentation frameworks such as Sphinx, Hugo, or ReadTheDocs is highly desirable.

• Familiarity with GitHub and Git revision management.

• Experience in leading user research initiatives to improve documentation is an advantage.

• Ability to collaborate with engineering peers to effectively translate knowledge from subject matter experts into high-quality documentation.

• Understanding of markdown and restructured text.

• Exceptional writing skills in English.
