This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Conduct research, outline, and create technical documentation, including Operation and Maintenance Manuals, Installation Manuals, and Product Specifications.
• Ensure that all documentation is well-crafted, engaging, and tailored to meet the needs of the target audience.
• Collect information from subject-matter experts and convert intricate data from EPLAN schematics, Single Line Diagrams, and 3D models into clear and concise text.
• Revise existing product documentation at the factory level to incorporate design modifications.
• Manage databases and repositories for reference materials.
• Adhere to GE Vernova branding and technical publication guidelines.
• Utilize and uphold standard templates for data sheets, product brochures, and safety procedures.
• Organize and execute work schedules to ensure project deadlines are met.
• Provide constructive feedback on tools and processes to facilitate ongoing improvement.
• Serve as a liaison between product and project teams.
• Collaborate across functions to produce high-quality documentation and translations.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Approximately 3–5 years of experience in technical writing, preferably in the electric power components or systems sector.
• Capability to read and interpret engineering drawings and 3D models.
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Familiarity with UL/IEC and Quality standards.
• Ability to tackle technical challenges with some guidance and recognize personal knowledge limits to seek assistance.
• Strong organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
• Knowledge of DITA/XML, Madcap, Visio, or CMS systems is advantageous.
• Proficient in English.
• Capacity to present complex information clearly and succinctly.
• Must have legal authorization to work in the United States.
