• Assist with program tasks, which include documentation, manuals, user training materials, and ongoing content updates.
• Create, maintain, and revise technical documentation, system manuals, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and operational guides.
• Develop clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation suitable for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Generate and sustain end-user training materials, such as guides, job aids, knowledge base articles, and instructional content.
• Ensure adherence to federal government documentation standards, including compliance frameworks such as DoD 5015.2 records management standards and 508 compliance for all formal deliverables.
• Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, developers, and subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather requirements and verify the technical accuracy of documentation.
• Convert complex technical and system information into structured, accessible content for end users and stakeholders.
• Maintain version control and ensure that documentation is updated in line with system updates, releases, and process changes.
• Participate in proposal reviews, which include grammar editing, technical consistency assessments, and quality assurance (508 compliance) for federal submissions.
• Ensure uniformity in tone, formatting, terminology, and branding across all documentation outputs.
• Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Over 5 years of experience in technical writing, documentation development, or related positions in federal or enterprise settings.
• Demonstrated experience in creating SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), technical manuals, and structured operational documentation.
• Experience working within federal government environments, with a solid understanding of documentation standards and compliance requirements.
• Required experience supporting CMS (Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services) programs or similar healthcare government initiatives.
• Knowledge of Section 508 accessibility standards pertaining to documentation and training materials.
• Familiarity with DoD 5015.2 documentation and records management standards or equivalent federal documentation frameworks.
• Experience in developing end-user training materials and instructional content for digital systems or enterprise applications.
• Strong editing, proofreading, and quality assurance abilities, including experience in supporting proposal and technical document reviews (grammar, clarity, and technical accuracy).
• Capability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, and business stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High attention to detail with robust editing and proofreading skills.
• Ability to simplify complex technical concepts into clear, user-centric content.
• Strong collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical teams.
• Capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
• US Citizenship or Permanent Residency is required.
• Must reside within the Continental US.
