Technical Writer, Editor

📋 Description

• Collaborate with our engagement and communications team on various tasks.

• Conduct research and produce reports, along with creating content for materials that summarize CalMTA’s initiatives and activities.

• Provide technical copy editing, perform fact-checking, and source reports and studies developed by partners and contractors.

• Conceptualize and create high-quality, data-driven visuals to facilitate information sharing.

• Develop presentation materials that effectively communicate key messages and outcomes.

• Assist in document production while ensuring adherence to CalMTA's brand standards and messaging.

• Engage in the planning and execution of activities aimed at promoting CalMTA's initiatives and progress.

• Function as a collaborative and integrated member of project teams.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must reside in the state of California.

• B.S. or B.A. is preferred.

• 5+ years of experience in energy efficiency along with subject matter expertise.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Proven experience in writing and editing a variety of technical and marketing documents.

• Comfortable working with technical material for editing, fact-checking, and citation purposes.

• Experience in data visualization and conceptualizing technical content for graphical representation.

• Proficient in the Microsoft Suite, particularly in formatting styles in Word and PowerPoint.

• Highly motivated with a positive attitude.

• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

• Commitment to providing high-quality service to partners and teams, with the ability to address concerns effectively.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to think critically in a fast-paced environment.

• Flexibility to collaborate with diverse team members and adapt to dynamic project demands.

• Interest or experience in fields related to energy or sustainability.

• High level of intercultural sensitivity and inclusiveness.
