This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Japan.
• Deliver consulting services to clients regarding their operational workflows and how they align with IQGeo products.
• Engage professionally with customers in both Japanese and English as necessary.
• Assist customers through various channels including phone, email, and case management systems.
• Identify client needs and provide solutions or clarifications regarding IQGeo product functionalities.
• Develop solutions for intricate or unclear technical issues.
• Follow up with clients to ensure that all concerns are thoroughly addressed.
• Analyze and report product defects to the IQGeo Product Engineering Team.
• Provide support for IQGeo geospatial software products catering to customers in the utility and telecommunications sectors.
• Work autonomously and collaboratively utilizing software implementation methodologies and troubleshooting techniques.
• Proficient in Japanese at a business level or higher, both in written and spoken forms.
• Strong command of English, written and spoken, in a professional context.
• Demonstrated experience in a customer-facing software or technical support position.
• Familiarity with customer service desk systems such as Jira Service Management or Zendesk.
• Extensive experience with open-source software technologies, including Apache and OpenLayers.
• Proficient in SQL and RDBMS technologies, particularly PostgreSQL.
• Knowledge of programming, scripting, or rules-based languages is desirable.
• Experience with GIS systems such as IQGeo, Esri, Smallworld, or QGIS is a plus.
• Background in telecommunications, FTTH, gas, or electric utilities is desirable.
• Understanding of enterprise integration, especially involving web services, is preferred.
• Experience with collaboration systems such as Jira Confluence or Microsoft SharePoint is advantageous.
• Support experience for mobile applications on platforms such as iOS, Android, or Windows is desirable.
• Familiarity with ETL tools like Safe Software's FME or GeoKettle is advantageous.
• Experience with Git or other distributed version control systems is desirable.
• Knowledge in Linux system administration and bash scripting is preferred.
• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required; equivalent work experience will also be considered.
• A minimum of 2 years of relevant technology and industry experience is required.
• Must possess the right to work permanently in Germany; IQGeo is not able to sponsor work permits.
