This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Deliver technical assistance for wireless systems, responding to customer queries and troubleshooting issues associated with microwave (MW) and millimeter-wave (mmW) systems, along with related network protocols.
• Travel to client locations to oversee the installation, alignment, and commissioning of trial systems, while training customer engineers on how to install and operate wireless solutions.
• Oversee computer systems and hardware, ensuring peak performance and security through effective IT support and desktop support methodologies.
• Collaborate with internal engineering and R&D teams on escalated issues and product enhancements to address complex technical challenges and improve the customer service experience.
• Directly engage with customer engineering teams to share findings and resolutions, as well as prepare technical documentation and reports using Microsoft Office and SQL.
• Analyze and resolve throughput and performance issues reported on deployed wireless links.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or Physics.
• A minimum of 8-10 years of demonstrated experience in Technical Support or Field Engineer roles, specifically involving the installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of RF systems.
• Practical experience with point-to-point microwave and/or point-to-multipoint radio systems is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of RF systems theory, including link budget analysis, antenna alignment, and adaptive modulation behavior.
• Familiarity with L2/L3 networking and protocols, such as VLANs, routing, and SNMP, as it pertains to network element management and NMS/OSS.
• Working knowledge of Linux.
• US work authorization and residency in the US are mandatory.
• Willingness to travel within the USA.
• Experience utilizing network protocol analyzers and traffic generators.
• Proficient in SQL.
• Knowledge of network management protocols (SNMP).
• Experience with physical layer diagnostics.
• Familiarity with NMS/OSS systems for wireless or microwave equipment.
