Technical Staff Member – Production Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Create reusable infrastructure-as-code and dependable CI/CD workflows for platform services.

• Architect cloud foundations encompassing compute, networking, identity, secrets, and service delivery.

• Develop progressive rollout strategies, health-check protocols, and rollback methodologies for essential infrastructure.

• Construct self-service platform functionalities, templates, and guardrails.

• Collaborate with research and product teams to eliminate delivery bottlenecks and develop reusable platform capabilities.

• Establish observability standards across metrics, logs, dashboards, and alerting utilizing tools like Grafana.

• Define and manage platform SLOs, error budgets, and reliability objectives.

• Transform security and compliance requirements into reusable platform controls.

• Lead intricate platform projects from technical design through adoption and steady-state operations.

• Write code, set platform standards, and collaborate with research, product engineering, and security teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in infrastructure, platform, or security-oriented engineering.

• Extensive hands-on experience with Terraform or equivalent infrastructure-as-code tools.

• In-depth knowledge of cloud networking, IAM, secrets management, and CI/CD practices.

• Proven experience in designing secure software delivery lifecycle environments from development to production.

• Production-level experience with Kubernetes or similar container orchestration technologies.

• Capability to debug across various infrastructure layers and make informed trade-offs in ambiguous situations.

• Excellent technical communication skills and a history of leading cross-functional initiatives.

• Experience in managing ML/LLM training or inference infrastructure.

• Familiarity with GPU infrastructure and distributed systems.

• Experience with zero-trust access models.

• Background in supporting compliance or audit-readiness initiatives.
