Senior Software Engineer, SRE, Production Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Create automation solutions for bare-metal provisioning, hardware validation, firmware and software updates, repairs, and cluster lifecycle management.

• Design tools that interface with BMC and Redfish to monitor hardware health, manage server status, and support recovery workflows.

• Manage and enhance NVIDIA NVL72 systems and BlueField-3 or later DPUs across cloud partner and on-premises environments.

• Troubleshoot failures in servers, DPUs, GPU systems, CPU systems, networking, Linux, and Kubernetes; transform recurring problems into automated detection and resolution.

• Establish validation and handoff criteria to ensure new capacity is safely and consistently integrated into production.

• Participate in on-call responsibilities, incident response, root-cause analysis, and follow-up actions to implement lasting solutions.

• Collaborate with hardware, networking, platform, data center operations, and partner teams to address issues that cross ownership boundaries.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in building software for or managing production infrastructure, including significant hands-on bare-metal expertise.

• Proficient in Go or Python, with a proven track record of delivering production automation and services.

• Direct experience with BMC and Redfish in server provisioning, health monitoring, power management, or fault diagnosis.

• Hands-on experience with NVIDIA GPU hardware, specifically NVL72 systems, and BlueField-3 or newer DPUs.

• Familiarity with Linux, firmware and driver management, network boot processes, and the server lifecycle from initial provisioning to repair.

• Experience in managing production reliability through on-call responsibilities, incident response, observability, and robust solutions.

• Capability to debug issues across hardware, host operating systems, networking, and distributed services.

• Excellent communication skills and proven ownership of issues that involve multiple teams.

• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
