Technical Specialist I, LCFS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist the Program Manager in managing SCS's low carbon biofuel verification initiatives.

• Execute onsite and remote audits in accordance with relevant standards and verification criteria.

• Ensure the precision and thoroughness of client reports in compliance with California, Canada, and pertinent low carbon fuel regulations.

• Carry out necessary data validations for inventory data and data management systems.

• Aid in the creation of risk assessments and verification strategies.

• Finalize audits in alignment with established timelines, reporting obligations, and professional standards.

• Record, convey, and resolve audit findings effectively.

• Assist in the formulation of verification reports and verification declarations.

• Engage professionally and promptly with both internal personnel and external clients.

• Prepare technical audit reports, which include calculations, interpretation of testing outcomes, and research.

• Conduct data analysis and modeling activities.

• Analyze results and compile written reports.

• Provide verification services in accordance with SCS Corporate and Program Quality standards.

• Take part in regular internal and external accreditation audits.

• Keep up-to-date competency records, including training logs, calibration actions, and current knowledge of program and external scheme requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field with 2+ years of experience in a similar role, or substantial operational experience in a related area.

• Exceptional technical writing, observational, and data management abilities.

• Strong communication skills coupled with critical analysis capabilities.

• Excellent time management skills and demonstrated ability to adhere to deadlines.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and database management tools.

• Advanced proficiency in Excel.

• Strong organizational and prioritization skills.

• A solid commitment to customer service and teamwork.

• Initiative, sound judgment, and the capacity to work autonomously under pressure in a dynamic environment.

• Master’s Degree in a relevant field is preferred.

• Proficiency in additional languages, such as Spanish or Portuguese, is preferred.

• Experience or background in Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) or Electric Vehicle (EV) sectors is preferred.
