Technical Specialist I, LCFS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Assist the Program Manager in managing SCS's verification programs for low carbon biofuels and associated biofuels initiatives.

• Execute onsite and desk audits in accordance with specified standards and verification criteria.

• Conduct data verification for inventory records and data management systems.

• Aid in the formulation of risk assessments and verification strategies.

• Complete audits within established timelines and adhere to reporting obligations.

• Record, communicate, and resolve audit findings.

• Assist in the creation of verification reports and statements.

• Professionally interact with both internal team members and external clients.

• Develop technical audit reports that include calculations, analysis of testing results, and relevant research.

• Perform data analysis and modeling tasks.

• Analyze results and compile written reports based on findings.

• Provide verification services that align with SCS's corporate and program quality standards.

• Engage in both internal and external accreditation audits.

• Keep records of competencies, training logs, calibration activities, and stay updated on program and scheme requirements.

• Audit low carbon fuel programs in California and Canada, with training available for Oregon and Colombia initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field along with 2+ years of experience in a similar domain, or extensive operational experience in a related area.

• Exceptional skills in technical writing, observation, and data management.

• Strong abilities in communication and critical analysis.

• Outstanding time management skills, with a proven track record of meeting deadlines.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and database management systems.

• Advanced proficiency in Excel.

• Excellent organizational and prioritization capabilities.

• Strong customer service orientation and teamwork skills.

• Initiative, sound judgment, and the ability to work independently under pressure in a dynamic environment.

• A Master's Degree in a relevant field is preferred.

• Proficiency in multiple languages, particularly Spanish or Portuguese, is preferred.

• Background or experience in Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) or Electric Vehicle (EV) sectors is preferred.
