This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
β’ Assist in the formation of a new team and service offerings: As the inaugural developer in this team, your involvement will be crucial in the foundational setup of the team. You will collaborate closely with the Product, Data, Engineering, and Revenues teams to define and construct the service offerings, providing you with a rich experience and the potential for rapid career advancement.
β’ Engage with a diverse range of new technical solutions: This role will offer you a valuable opportunity to develop a broad and varied skill set while gaining a comprehensive understanding of typical product challenges within the SaaS and LMS industries.
β’ A minimum of 3 years of experience in software engineering, backend development, or integrations.
β’ Proficiency in at least one backend programming language (preferably Node.js, Ruby, or Python).
β’ Strong comprehension of APIs, webhooks, authentication methods, and asynchronous workflows.
β’ Capability to design scalable, efficient, and maintainable technical solutions.
β’ Experience with SQL databases or Data Warehouses (Snowflake knowledge is a plus).
β’ Exposure to cloud platforms is beneficial.
β’ Interest in full stack development, Git workflows, and CI/CD practices.
β’ Exceptional analytical skills, structured thinking, and the ability to synthesize information.
β’ A strong troubleshooting and debugging mindset.
β’ Comfort in fast-paced environments with shifting priorities.
β’ Fluent in English (US/UK), with French language skills being an advantage.
β’ Familiarity with BigCommerce is a plus.
