This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.
• Spearhead the design of intricate, multi-domain healthcare solutions utilizing Azure, AWS, and hybrid architectures.
• Architect applications powered by AI/ML for predictive analytics, clinical decision support, and enhanced operational efficiency.
• Establish and uphold architecture governance in line with HIPAA, HITECH, PCI, NIST 800-53, and internal security standards.
• Formulate cloud adoption strategies, encompassing Azure or AWS Landing Zones and hybrid connectivity solutions.
• Assess and choose vendor solutions based on innovation, cost-effectiveness, compliance, and operational readiness.
• Generate and sustain architectural artifacts, archetypes, reference architectures, and capability roadmaps.
• Offer thought leadership in AI ethics, data governance, and deployment strategies tailored for the healthcare sector.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Architects, executives, clinicians, IT leaders, senior management, stakeholders, and vendor partners.
• Ensure alignment of technology strategies with Banner Health’s mission and business objectives.
• Deliver architectures, strategies, and guidance that support strategic initiatives and enhance patient outcomes and operational performance.
• Mentor junior staff, architects, and engineers.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 10 years of progressive IT experience in development, infrastructure, or systems analysis.
• At least 4 years of experience in solution or enterprise architecture.
• Must achieve an approved architecture or ITIL certification within one year of hire: Microsoft Certified Azure Solution Architect Expert, AWS Certified Solution Architect Professional, Google Professional Cloud Architect, TOGAF Certified Architect, or ITIL Intermediate.
• Demonstrated experience with cloud-based healthcare solutions, including AI/ML deployments.
• Solid understanding of healthcare compliance, interoperability, and security.
• Remote work eligibility is limited to residents of AL, AK, AR, AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, MD, MI, MN, MO, MS, NC, ND, NE, NH, NM, NV, NY, OH, OK, OR, PA, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA, WI, WV, or WY.
• Preferred: 5+ years of experience in healthcare or a regulated industry.
• Preferred: 5+ years of designing solutions that incorporate AI components.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) is desirable.
• Proven track record of mentoring junior architects or engineers.
• Preferred certifications include: Microsoft Certified Cybersecurity Architect Expert, AWS Certified Machine Learning Specialty, Salesforce Certified Technical Architect.
• Additional related education and/or experience is preferred.
