Technical Service Engineer – BESS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Italy, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Deliver on-site technical assistance during the installation, commissioning, testing, and handover phases of Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects.

• Oversee installation tasks and ensure adherence to technical specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.

• Conduct system commissioning, functional testing, and grid connection tasks to facilitate successful project energization.

• Address on-site technical challenges related to electrical installations, system integration, and grid compliance.

• Assist with project acceptance, resolution of punch-lists, and final technical handover to clients.

• Promptly address customer technical inquiries through remote or on-site support, ensuring timely resolution of issues.

• Diagnose hardware, software, communication, and system performance problems, escalating more complex cases as needed.

• Manage after-sales service operations using the service management system, ensuring accurate documentation and timely closure of work orders.

• Provide customer training on system operation, routine maintenance, and safety protocols.

• Cultivate positive customer relationships through professional technical support and effective communication.

• Gather and relay customer feedback, technical issues, and field observations to aid in product enhancements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or relevant technical qualification in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, Renewable Energy, Electronics, Mechatronics, or a similar technical field.

• A minimum of 2-6 years of experience in field service, commissioning, site engineering, or technical support within BESS, PV, power systems, electrical infrastructure, or a related sector.

• Strong comprehension of electrical systems, inverters, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), or power conversion devices.

• Experience in electrical installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting.

• Capability to interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and single-line schematics.

• Familiarity with grid connection requirements and electrical safety standards is preferred.

• Experience in utility-scale or commercial renewable energy projects is an advantage.

• Proficiency in the relevant local language: C1 (professional working proficiency).

• English: B2 (full professional capability).

• Possession of a valid driver's license.
