Technical SEO Manager – fully remote within Europe

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.

📋 Description

• Assist in developing systems for managing internal linking, sitemaps, indexability lifecycle, taxonomy, and automated content optimization across millions of URLs, markets, and languages.

• Write code and create scrapers, scripts, internal dashboards, and data-pull automation tools.

• Utilize LLMs and automation to enhance, investigate, and expand SEO initiatives.

• Take ownership of crawl and indexation health for a high-velocity URL site.

• Analyze server access logs and establish early-warning systems for crawl anomalies, indexation declines, and regressions.

• Assess, measure, and instrument page speed using real-user metrics, lab traces, network data, rendering, and server insights.

• Troubleshoot rendering edge cases, redirect chains, CDN/edge behavior, bot-versus-user serving, and caching errors across the entire stack.

• Co-design and execute large-scale SEO experiments and translate findings into rollout strategies.

• Automate repetitive SEO tasks.

• Act as a technical liaison between SEO and engineering teams.

• Draft specifications, guide architectural decisions, and communicate the SEO scalability and performance requirements.

• Assist SEO Product Managers in identifying technical opportunities and setting requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in technical SEO with documented organic growth achievements.

• Practical experience with websites that have 1M+ indexed URLs and high URL velocity.

• Familiarity with collaborating closely with engineers in an agile setting.

• Proficiency in coding with JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or PHP.

• In-depth knowledge of HTTP, networking, servers, CDNs, edge computing, caching, redirects, rendering, and modern JavaScript frameworks.

• Proficient use of browser developer tools.

• Strong analytical skills with access logs, Google Search Console, crawl data, and analytics.

• Capability to create dashboards and reports.

• Pragmatic growth mindset and ability to rapidly learn new concepts.

• Excellent communication skills for articulating technical SEO challenges to developers, product teams, and leadership.
