This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +3 more states.
• Identifying and prioritizing new client opportunities and sales potential for the relevant product lines.
• Coordinating actions to improve market penetration.
• Supporting and guiding Account Managers to discover new potential opportunities within the market and customer segment.
• Building trust and valued relationships with key decision makers.
• Clarifying objectives and reaching consensus while safeguarding the interests of all involved parties.
• Acting as a trusted advisor within accounts and bringing in technical authorities as necessary to facilitate the solution process.
• Implementing and evolving the Business Unit strategy, from prospecting through to closing.
• Conveying the voice of the customer back to the Business Unit.
• Assisting with new Product Introduction (NPI) initiatives within the territory to enhance adoption rates and revenue generation.
• Utilizing Thermo Fisher Scientific’s sales tools to manage accounts, opportunities, pipelines, and forecasts effectively.
• Staying informed about competitor actions and industry activities.
• Introducing new products and services as they become available.
• Cultivating close working relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOL) and leading scientists to advocate for specific CMD products and solutions.
• Representing CMD at knowledge-based seminars and customer workshops.
• Mentoring, leading, and inspiring the account management team.
• Collaborating with sales, field application, lab application, and IES specialists to deliver technical expertise.
• Over 5 years of proven sales experience in the analytical/relevant instrument market, managing complex, high-value accounts.
• A Bachelor’s degree is required, with a Master's degree preferred in a scientific field.
• Preferred strong market knowledge and business insight within the industry sector, including key trends.
• Experience in delivering seminars and presentations.
• A commercial mindset, driven by a strong desire to secure new business, with a validated track record of pursuing opportunities relentlessly.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication, and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in English and other languages as required in the designated region.
• Demonstrated commercial excellence in a matrix environment.
• Ability to articulate and sell the technical aspects of Thermo Fisher Scientific’s scientific product portfolio.
• Willingness to travel to customer locations up to 80% of the time, including overnight stays.
