This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Contribute to the expansion of the Converting Technologies Bag Machine segment throughout North America by delivering technical expertise and commercial assistance during the customer lifecycle.
• Collaborate with regional sales teams to pinpoint and cultivate opportunities for enhancing bag machine upgrades, retrofits, modernization initiatives, and productivity enhancements.
• Analyze customer production settings and bag converting workflows to uncover opportunities for performance improvements.
• Assist in the creation of technical proposals, scopes of work, and conceptual solutions for bag machine enhancements and upgrades.
• Provide technical insights during the quotation phase, including establishing specifications, assessing solution feasibility, and considering cost factors.
• Ensure the successful implementation of sold projects by maintaining technical alignment among customers, engineering, and project teams.
• Act as a subject matter expert on Converting Technologies bag machine platforms and the existing equipment base.
• Work together with engineering teams to develop machine upgrades, automation enhancements, and solutions for performance optimization.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related technical field is preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in technical sales, applications engineering, or support for industrial machinery.
• Familiarity with bag converting equipment, packaging machinery, or flexible packaging manufacturing is preferred.
• Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, technical specifications, and machine system designs.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
