This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +3 more states.
• Meet or surpass sales targets within the assigned territory for the ICL product lineup.
• Cultivate relationships with current retail and distribution partners within the designated area.
• Broaden connections with new distributors, retailers, and growers.
• Create a strategic sales growth plan for market development within the territory.
• Offer technical guidance to clients on the application of granular, liquid, water-soluble, and controlled-release fertilizers utilized in agriculture.
• Formulate and implement the sales and marketing strategy based on the business plan, including diligent management of company budgets.
• Provide insights into competitor activities in the market.
• Generate annual sales forecasts with monthly updates to support the ongoing Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process.
• Represent the company at trade shows, events, and demonstrations.
• Effectively use SalesForce to log customer interactions and review SAP dashboard reports for territory management.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy or a related field is preferred, ideally with coursework in plant science, soil science, plant health, and plant nutrition.
• Must reside within the designated territory.
• At least three years of experience with a proven track record in agricultural sales.
• Established connections with distributors, retailers, and/or large growers in the geographic area.
• Experience in creating comprehensive nutrient management programs adhering to Good Agronomic Practices (GAP).
• Strong analytical skills to interpret nutritional values related to soil, water, and plant materials.
• Ability to align personal goals with corporate objectives while maintaining a customer-focused approach.
• Exceptional oral and written communication abilities, including public speaking and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in computer applications such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and MapPoint.
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving capabilities.
• Proven ability to collaborate and contribute effectively within a team environment.
• A proactive problem solver with a positive attitude.
• Travel requirement: 60%.
• Physical demands include the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, requiring standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to travel 60% of the time by car and/or airplane, including overnight hotel stays.
