This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Japan.
• Collaborate with the Sales and Business Development teams to create and present customized technical solutions that meet customer requirements.
• Facilitate technical workshops, proofs of concept, pilots, and live demonstrations to highlight the benefits of IQM quantum computers.
• Serve as the Technical Bid Manager during tender processes, crafting compelling technical proposals and addressing RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs.
• Engage with enterprises, public sector entities, and academic institutions to uncover use cases and suggest deployment strategies.
• Convert customer needs into actionable feedback for the Product and R&D teams to influence future developments.
• Represent IQM at conferences, trade shows, and industry events throughout the APAC region.
• Assist customers throughout the entire sales cycle, from initial technical discussions to successful implementation.
• Travel throughout the APAC region up to 35 percent to engage with customers and partners.
• A PhD in physics, engineering, computer science, or a related discipline, or approximately six years of technical experience in the quantum sector.
• Solid technical foundation in quantum science.
• Proven experience in designing and implementing proofs of concept (PoC) or pilot initiatives in a customer-facing context.
• Capability to clearly articulate complex technical subjects to both technical professionals and senior decision-makers.
• Strong analytical skills and a methodical approach to work.
• Ability to interact confidently with various stakeholders across different functions and cultural backgrounds.
• Proficient in English and possess professional competency in Japanese.
• Familiarity with high-performance computing, AI, or cloud technologies is advantageous.
