Sales Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Facilitate discovery discussions with clients to gain insight into their business challenges, technical needs, and desired outcomes.

• Evaluate and document clients’ current infrastructure, applications, and operational processes to pinpoint gaps and areas for enhancement.

• Create customized, scalable, and cost-effective managed service solutions that meet client requirements and long-term objectives.

• Formulate and present persuasive solution proposals that effectively convey value, technical direction, and anticipated benefits.

• Work closely with Sales, Project Management, and Support teams to guarantee that proposed solutions are practical and aligned with FusionTek’s capabilities.

• Keep abreast of emerging technologies and collaborate with internal teams to improve our service offerings and sustain a competitive advantage.

• Train internal teams on new solutions, sales techniques, deployment strategies, and how these offerings integrate into our current service portfolio.


⛳️ Requirements

• 🎓 High School Diploma is mandatory

• Bachelor’s Degree in an IT-related discipline is preferred

• A minimum of 5 years of technical support experience in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment is REQUIRED (Please note that backgrounds solely in SaaS, enterprise software, or general IT sales will not be considered for this specific position)

• 2 to 3 years of experience as a Sales Engineer, or in a similar solutions-oriented technical role

• Strong expertise in desktop and server operating systems

• In-depth knowledge of networking concepts and design (IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLANs, firewalls)

• Extensive experience with designing cloud solutions (O365, Azure, Azure AD, Intune)

• Familiarity with ITIL frameworks and best practices in service management

• Experience with Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) tools (Datto RMM is advantageous)

• Experience with Autotask PSA is a plus

• Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert (MS-102) is an advantage

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305) is an advantage

• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

• Self-motivated, proactive, and a strong supporter of client success
