This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.
• Uphold the values, standards, and safety culture of Whitefox in all interactions with customers.
• Collaborate with Sales and clients to identify challenges, analyze process data, and create effective membrane-based solutions.
• Assist Sales in showcasing the technical features of Whitefox technologies to customers through both virtual and in-person meetings.
• Clearly convey the technical and economic benefits to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Design conceptual frameworks for Whitefox solutions that meet customer requirements, such as enhancing energy efficiency, optimizing water usage, and improving overall operational performance.
• Create process simulation models to assess and validate the anticipated performance and advantages of suggested solutions.
• Estimate and quantify project benefits, including utility savings, production impacts, carbon credit generation, and other economic factors.
• Develop preliminary capital cost estimates, which encompass engineering, equipment, construction, and installation.
• Utilize techno-economic evaluations (ROI, payback period) to assess, refine, and enhance alternative solution concepts.
• Participate in the early-stage front-end loading/gated development of opportunities by refining technical scope, cost estimates, and risk assessments before making commercial commitments.
• Generate front-end engineering documentation to support solution specification, including process flow diagrams, heat and material balances, utility summaries, equipment lists, and basis of design documentation.
• Provide a high-quality, value-oriented customer experience through structured, data-informed methodologies.
• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related technical field.
• A Master's degree (M.Sc.) is an advantage.
• Over 5 years of experience in process engineering, solution development, or technical-commercial roles within the industrial, energy, or chemical sectors.
• More than 3 years of experience using process simulation tools (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS, ChemCAD, Symmetry, or equivalent).
• Experience in Technical Sales Engineering, Applications Engineering, or similar customer-facing technical-commercial positions is advantageous.
• Proven experience in developing mass and energy balances, utility balances, and process performance models tailored for specific customer applications.
• Direct experience working with customers in technical or commercial capacities.
• Experience with brownfield integration, plant modifications, or retrofit projects is a plus.
• Knowledge of ethanol production processes or membrane technologies is beneficial.
