
Technical Sales Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Collaborate with Sales to drive revenue growth.
• Work alongside Account Executives throughout the sales process to grasp customer business challenges and technical requirements.
• Engage in discovery calls, product demonstrations, and technical assessments.
• Assist in qualifying opportunities by evaluating technical fit and identifying potential implementation considerations.
• Act as the subject matter expert on Bluehost products, integrations, infrastructure, and platform capabilities.
• Simplify complex technical concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Address customer inquiries related to architecture, security, integrations, performance, and scalability.
• Provide engaging, tailored product demonstrations that align with customer use cases and business goals.
• Create proof-of-concept environments and technical presentations as needed.
• Assess customer requirements and suggest optimal product configurations.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Customer Success, and Professional Services teams to craft solutions for unique customer needs.
• Document technical requirements and solution recommendations.
• Develop and maintain technical sales materials, demo environments, and solution documentation.
• Offer training and support to Sales teams on product capabilities and competitive positioning.
• Relay customer insights and market feedback to Product and Engineering teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Over 3 years of experience in a Sales Engineer, Solutions Engineer, Technical Consultant, or similar customer-facing technical role.
• Experience in supporting SaaS, hosting, cloud, web services, digital marketing, or technology solutions.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.
• Capability to translate technical concepts into business value.
• Experience in working collaboratively with Sales, Product, and Engineering teams.
• Familiarity with web hosting, WordPress, domains, cloud infrastructure, or website management platforms is preferred.
• Knowledge of APIs, integrations, DNS, website architecture, and related technologies is preferred.
