This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Engage in Pre-Sales Activities by collaborating with account executives throughout the entire sales cycle, from initial discovery to deployment, sustainment, and upgrades/renewals.
• Design and deliver product demonstrations customized for the energy and utilities sector.
• Develop and showcase persuasive use cases related to asset performance management and decision analysis.
• Work closely with clients to grasp their technical and business needs.
• Provide technical insights for proposals, RFPs, marketing materials, and other sales-related documents.
• Address and resolve technical inquiries during the sales process.
• Keep informed about industry standards and the company’s software offerings.
• Support Sales Enablement by creating engaging sales presentations that align technical solutions with business requirements.
• Collaborate with account executives to devise strategies for target accounts and sales tactics.
• Ensure smooth transitions from sales to deployment by working with implementation teams on Customer Onboarding and Success.
• Deliver initial technical training to new customers.
• Conduct research and analysis of customer challenges in the energy and utilities domain, particularly in asset performance and decision-making.
• Relay market trends and competitor insights to product development teams.
• Build relationships by establishing trust with technical stakeholders such as asset/maintenance engineers, system planners, procurement personnel, and executive leaders.
• Maintain post-sale relationships to uncover upselling or cross-selling opportunities.
• Contribute to Solution Development by offering feedback and guidance to internal product and delivery teams based on client feedback and industry developments.
• Develop processes to enhance both internal and external workflows.
• Previous experience in customer-facing sales positions (B2B preferred).
• Intermediate proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, JavaScript, C++, C#, Java, Rust, R, etc.).
• Strong background in B2B enterprise software with an emphasis on technical sales.
• Practical experience with one or more core programming languages, with the ability to discuss past projects and contributions.
• Proven ability to quickly and effectively acquire and apply new complex skills.
• Solid understanding of the energy and utilities industries, particularly in asset performance management and decision analytics.
• Experience in heavily regulated sectors is advantageous.
• Capability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• A problem-solving mindset focused on aligning technical solutions with business objectives.
• Outstanding self-directed research abilities.
• Familiarity with tools such as CRM systems, data analysis software, and relevant technical applications (e.g., APM, GIS, ERP platforms, or simulation tools).
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field (applied sciences, engineering).
• A collaborative spirit with the ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including professional fluency in another language (Spanish, French, and/or German).
