Technical Recruiter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Oversee the daily operations of the recruiting team, including reporting, sourcing, interview arrangements, and applicant selection for technical roles.

• Collaborate with hiring managers to clarify job responsibilities.

• Develop comprehensive job descriptions.

• Align applicants with suitable job vacancies.

• Source candidates for both current and upcoming job openings.

• Advertise job listings on job boards, social media platforms, corporate career websites, and other relevant channels.

• Contact applicants to conduct phone screenings.

• Clearly communicate the specifics of each job posting.

• Organize meetings between hiring managers and candidates.

• Take part in the final selection process of candidates.

• Assemble a portfolio of potential candidates for the hiring manager.

• Conduct reference checks.

• Execute background checks and initiate drug testing for applicants.

• Notify candidates of the company's hiring decisions.

• Draft offer letters and negotiate salary and benefits packages.

• Maintain records of all applications and ensure compliance with EEO, VETS 4212, and AAP reporting.

• Ensure adherence to compliance standards and effective outreach initiatives.

• Engage with civic, social, and other organizations to share information about job opportunities.

• Assist in the implementation of new recruiting technologies, such as applicant tracking systems and screening tools.

• Additional human resources duties may include: onboarding new employees and contractors, managing inventory, overseeing asset management, recruiting talent, creating job descriptions, developing marketing materials, website maintenance, updating operations guides and employee handbooks, ensuring legal compliance, forecasting recruiting budgets, advising managers on organizational policies, and supporting the HR department as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience: A minimum of 3 years in a similar role.

• Educational Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree coupled with at least 3 years of technical recruiting experience.

• Skills/Qualifications: Exceptional communication, analytical, writing, creative, sales, and leadership skills.

• Organizational Skills: Ability to plan and prioritize tasks effectively, ensuring thorough completion of responsibilities while maintaining attention to detail.

• Teamwork: Able to work independently as well as collaboratively, constructively challenging ideas within a team and influencing others towards a common goal.

• Problem Solving: Strong aptitude for strategic planning and tactics, capable of analyzing issues, determining root causes, generating options, evaluating choices, and implementing solutions.

• Results Oriented: Driven to advance tasks regardless of personal interest in the assignment.

• Communication: Proficient in conveying information clearly and efficiently to team members and clients, both verbally and in writing. Capable of presenting ideas in various formats depending on the audience and context, with excellent active listening skills and strong interpersonal abilities to interact effectively with personnel at all levels.
