This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take charge of the complete recruiting process across the organization, from initial contact to the signed offer, for positions in engineering, manufacturing, operations, and leadership.
• Develop Atomic’s sourcing engine from the ground up: create outbound strategies, talent maps, referral systems, and implement a modern automation and AI tooling stack that enables an individual to perform the work of a team.
• Seek out talent wherever it may be found. Engage with elite engineers and operators both online and in-person, serving as a compelling ambassador for the mission and for American reindustrialization.
• Travel to meet candidates in their environment, host them at our Detroit factory, and transform a plant tour into the pivotal moment when they decide to invest their careers in Atomic.
• Craft a candidate experience that is so efficient and impressive that candidates share their stories with friends, regardless of the hiring outcome.
• Collaborate directly with the founder and hiring managers to establish the criteria for what constitutes “great” in each role, ensuring a consistently high standard.
• Analyze the recruitment funnel. Monitor conversion rates at each stage, conduct experiments, and leverage data to enhance our hiring processes weekly.
• Establish the foundations of the talent function—its processes, tools, and brand—and recruit and guide the future recruiters who will follow in your footsteps.
• You possess a proven history of full-cycle recruiting and sourcing elusive talent, preferably in a high-growth startup, hardtech, defense, or manufacturing setting. Your portfolio of successful placements is more important than the number of years of experience.
• You are adept and comfortable in the online space. You grasp modern platforms and internet culture, leveraging them skillfully to attract and engage candidates that others cannot reach.
• You are proficient with tools and automation—ATS, sourcing tools, scripts, and AI—and prefer to establish repeatable systems rather than performing the same task multiple times.
• You exhibit a high degree of agency. You are an owner and operator who thrives in ambiguity, moves swiftly, and takes initiative without waiting for direction.
• You have a keen eye for talent and the discernment to maintain a high standard even under pressure during the hiring process.
• You are a convincing and principled communicator capable of inspiring skepticism from world-class candidates to believe in our mission.
• You are eager to build a function and a team rather than merely filling positions, and you seek the ownership and potential rewards that come with being a pioneer.
• You are enthusiastic about reindustrializing America and facilitating the rapid construction of tangible products once again.
• Competitive salary along with a substantial equity stake in a company dedicated to shaping the future of American manufacturing.
• Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage for you and your dependents.
• 401(k) retirement plan.
• Paid time off (PTO) with a minimum of 20 days.
• Opportunity to create a talent function from scratch, collaborate closely with the founder, and occupy one of the most impactful roles within the company.
