Technical Quality Assurance Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and implement thorough testing strategies, plans, test cases, and test scenarios for both new and existing applications.

• Conduct functional, regression, integration, system, API, end-to-end, and data validation testing.

• Create and maintain automated testing frameworks and scripts.

• Write complex SQL queries and carry out data validation across SQL and NoSQL platforms.

• Verify data flows between applications, APIs, databases, file exchanges, and third-party systems.

• Test REST APIs, web services, and integrations related to healthcare.

• Collaborate with developers and product teams to reproduce defects, validate fixes, and enhance overall quality.

• Assist with performance, scalability, reliability, and release testing activities.

• Advocate for quality engineering best practices, risk-based testing, and ongoing process improvements.

• Ensure that testing practices align with healthcare and Revenue Cycle Management workflows as well as customer expectations.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• At least 5 years of experience in a software quality assurance or quality engineering position.

• Experience in testing database-driven applications and validating backend data.

• Proficiency with SQL and NoSQL database technologies.

• Familiarity with automated testing frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or similar tools.

• Experience in testing REST APIs and web services using Postman, Newman, or similar tools.

• Knowledge of defect tracking and test management tools.

• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

• Capability to comprehend and resolve complex software, database, and integration issues.

• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

• Preferred experience in healthcare, Revenue Cycle Management, patient engagement, billing, collections, or related industries.

• Familiarity with telephony, SMS/texting APIs, or related integrated communication technologies is a plus.

• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire.

• The company does not offer employment visa sponsorship.
