Technical Project Manager, Telecom

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with stakeholders, architects, and technical subject matter experts to convert business goals into a well-structured delivery strategy, outlining workstreams, milestones, deliverables, ownership, dependencies, and governance.

• Assist in the development of the target solution by recognizing planning assumptions, information gaps, technical dependencies, and decision points, ensuring these are incorporated into the project plan as the design progresses.

• Convert evolving architecture and engineering decisions into actionable work packages, feasible delivery plans, and clear acceptance criteria.

• Coordinate with architects, engineers, vendors, and project teams throughout the project lifecycle to ensure delivery alignment, resolve dependencies, and adjust plans as new insights arise.

• Maintain project plans, risks, assumptions, dependencies, decisions, and status reports, providing succinct, decision-oriented updates to project leadership and stakeholders.

• Encourage cross-functional collaboration across network, infrastructure, security, operations, and engineering teams to guarantee successful project delivery.

• Monitor project financials, resource needs, and capacity planning to ensure delivery commitments remain achievable and in line with organizational priorities.

• Facilitate workshops, planning sessions, and technical reviews to attain stakeholder alignment and expedite issue resolution.

• Develop and manage integrated project schedules, emphasizing critical paths, risks, constraints, and mitigation strategies.

• Ensure compliance with organizational delivery methodologies, quality standards, compliance requirements, and change management processes.

• Assist with transition-to-operations activities, including operational readiness assessments, knowledge transfer, and service acceptance planning.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of project or program management experience in telecom networks, digital infrastructure, or a comparable technical field.

• Experience in planning and initiating projects where the scope, roadmap, or solution was still being developed—not just executing projects with a predefined plan.

• Proven ability to work closely with technical teams to create delivery plans for intricate engineering or infrastructure projects.

• Practical knowledge of telecom and network infrastructure, with the capability to comprehend technical designs, identify dependencies, and challenge assumptions when necessary.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills in stakeholder-facing environments.

• Proven experience leading large-scale transformations, network modernization, cloud migration, or infrastructure deployment programs.

• Experience managing multiple workstreams, vendors, and geographically distributed teams within complex delivery settings.

• Strong understanding of project management methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery models.

• Experience with risk management, governance reporting, executive-level communications, and steering committee engagement.

• Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools such as Microsoft Project, Azure DevOps, Jira, Smartsheet, or similar platforms.

• Relevant professional certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, SAFe, or equivalent are highly preferred.
