This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Take ownership of the daily execution and operational cadence of designated Databricks and data initiatives.
• Align technical delivery with client priorities and desired business results.
• Keep the Jira board updated as the definitive source for project execution.
• Define, prioritize, assign, estimate, and monitor tasks throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Conduct stand-ups, planning sessions, backlog reviews, status meetings, and retrospectives.
• Create and share Weekly Pulse Reports detailing progress, risks, decisions, dependencies, budget/burn, and action items.
• Manage project plans, milestones, RAID logs, decisions, action items, resource plans, and PMO documentation.
• Ensure compliance with Databricks/data technical playbooks and HIKE2 PMO standards.
• Monitor technical dependencies across data sources, environments, pipelines, integrations, architecture, security, testing, deployment, and client teams.
• Identify delivery risks and work to resolve issues promptly.
• Provide stakeholders with insights into project health, decisions, risks, and upcoming steps.
• Collaborate with technical leads to convert technical work into actionable plans and client communications.
• Raise issues to the PMO and delivery leadership when support or decisions are necessary.
• Over 5 years of experience in project or program management.
• Extensive experience in leading data, analytics, cloud, or data platform implementations.
• Proven experience managing technical engineering teams and navigating complex technical workstreams.
• Eagerness to continually enhance technical knowledge in Databricks, modern data architecture, cloud platforms, analytics, and emerging AI/ML technologies.
• Strong proficiency in Jira and Agile delivery methodologies.
• Experience with Databricks is highly preferred; similar modern cloud data platforms may be considered.
• Ability to comprehend technical architecture, engineering terms, dependencies, and delivery sequencing.
• Capability to convey complex technical concepts in business language for non-technical stakeholders.
• Excellent client-facing communication skills and executive-level status reporting abilities.
• Relevant experience with data and technical delivery.
