This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Leadership of cross-functional programs - You will take direct ownership of programs that encompass Trading, Engineering, Data Science, and Data Engineering. As the sole accountable owner, you will ensure successful delivery across team boundaries, managing dependencies, sequencing, risks, and making tradeoff decisions when priorities conflict.
• Framework for delivery - You will own and enhance the systems that enable the company to plan and execute efficiently — including intake, prioritization, change management, project lifecycle, definition of done, and release cadence.
• Coordination and predictability of delivery - You will establish the cadence, instrumentation, and reporting processes that provide visibility from company strategy down to individual execution.
• Enhancing delivery maturity across the organization - Teams at Swish operate at varying levels of delivery discipline. You will set the standard, highlight successful internal practices, and collaborate with department heads to elevate the overall standard — through influence and demonstrated value rather than through mandates.
• Leadership of the team - You will lead, develop, and nurture the Project Management Office (PMO).
• Experience in building a PMO - You have established or significantly restructured a program management function — rather than merely managing projects within an existing framework.
• Depth in cross-functional program management - You have been responsible for large programs that span multiple engineering and technical organizations, with genuine accountability for outcomes across organizational boundaries.
• Focus on user adoption - You approach your work as a product manager would, creating solutions that users will genuinely utilize, rather than merely drafting policies.
• Experience working with founders and executives - You are capable of engaging as a peer with department heads and founders, presenting value and capacity cases in prioritization discussions, and exerting influence without formal authority over the teams you coordinate.
• Sound judgment in high-pressure situations - You escalate issues clearly rather than absorbing blockers, manage competing priorities and organizational tensions with professionalism, and discern which conflicts are worth addressing.
