Technical Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Act as the main technical point of contact between Avantor, clients, and internal teams for B2B integration projects.

• Oversee customer integration initiatives from the stages of requirements gathering and planning through implementation, testing, deployment, and project conclusion.

• Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to comprehend business requirements, technical capabilities, and integration necessities.

• Create, document, and consistently enhance standardized procedures and practices for B2B integration implementation.

• Evaluate existing business processes, systems, and integration technologies, recommending improvements where necessary.

• Lead internal and external project teams by establishing project timelines, assigning roles, overseeing deliverables, and managing schedules.

• Recognize project risks, dependencies, and possible challenges while coordinating resolution or escalation efforts.

• Ensure that projects are finalized accurately, efficiently, and within predetermined timelines.

• Foster and maintain productive relationships with clients, project teams, technology partners, and stakeholders across various functions.

• Assist in developing Avantor's future-state B2B integration strategy, including integrations with external eProcurement and supplier platforms.

• Keep project documentation up to date and provide regular status updates to stakeholders.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

• Over 5 years of pertinent experience in technical project management, B2B integrations, eCommerce, eProcurement, or a related discipline.

• Proven experience managing technical integration projects with multiple internal and external stakeholders.

• Familiarity with customer eProcurement platforms such as Ariba Network, JAGGAER, Hubwoo, Coupa, Oracle Supplier Network, Unimarket, Perfect Commerce, ExpenseWatch, ESM, or similar.

• Strong grasp of Procure-to-Pay (P2P) and Order-to-Cash (O2C) business processes.

• In-depth knowledge of B2B integration formats, technologies, and protocols, including EDI, cXML, XML, and APIs/web services.

• Experience with eProcurement integration processes and technologies, particularly cXML / OCI PunchOut and AS2.

• Working knowledge of integration best practices and experience supporting SAP or comparable ERP environments.

• Capability to analyze business and technical requirements and convert them into scalable integration solutions.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving abilities.

• Competence in facilitating meetings and conference calls with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Self-driven and results-oriented, with a keen eye for detail and a broader business perspective.
