Senior IT Project Manager – Finance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Oversee 3–5 simultaneous IT projects from initiation to completion

• Create and manage project plans, timelines, budgets, resource allocations, and key milestones

• Oversee project financials, encompassing budgeting, forecasting, cost monitoring, and ROI evaluation

• Lead multidisciplinary teams and coordinate both internal and external resources

• Manage project scope, risks, issues, dependencies, and change requests

• Identify potential risks and formulate mitigation and contingency strategies

• Foster relationships with finance, IT, business stakeholders, senior leadership, and external vendors

• Provide consistent updates on project status, risks, budget, and delivery to leadership

• Oversee vendor activities, contractual obligations, and RFI/RFP processes

• Ensure adherence to established PMO and project lifecycle methodologies

• Monitor project metrics, document lessons learned, and promote continuous improvement

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, MIS, or a related discipline

• Over 5 years of Project Management experience and more than 8 years of relevant IT or business experience

• Demonstrated experience managing multiple concurrent projects with intricate dependencies

• Strong proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and cost management

• Experience leading cross-functional teams without direct authority

• In-depth understanding of finance processes, systems, and technology

• Experience with integrations between finance systems and enterprise platforms

• Strong background in risk, issue, dependency, and change management

• Expert-level experience in vendor management

• Exceptional communication skills with technical, business, and executive stakeholders

• Ability to operate independently, make decisions, and escalate issues when necessary

• Advanced conversational proficiency in English and Spanish is essential

• Must be available to work Eastern Standard Time (EST) hours, regardless of location

• Professional home-office setup suitable for extended periods of stationary, camera-on work, including HD webcam, hardwired high-speed internet, and a stationary workstation

• If residing in Mexico as a foreigner, must possess a valid INE, CURP, NSS, and RFC

• Preferred: experience in leading large-scale Finance Technology implementations

• Preferred: hands-on experience with Oracle EBS Financials/Procurement, SAP, Workday, or similar platforms

• Preferred: experience in regulated environments involving SOX, GDPR, or similar standards

• Preferred: experience managing change and developing contingency plans for essential finance systems

• Preferred: CAPM, PMP, or similar project management certification

• Preferred: experience in driving process improvement and applying lessons learned
