Technical Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the daily execution of software development, application modernization, cloud, data, systems integration, and digital transformation initiatives.

• Create and uphold project plans, schedules, release roadmaps, resource allocations, sprint plans, risk registers, issue logs, dependency trackers, and status updates.

• Direct Agile delivery processes, which include sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and release planning.

• Coordinate efforts among developers, architects, business analysts, quality assurance specialists, DevOps engineers, data professionals, vendors, and subcontractors.

• Collaborate with product owners and client stakeholders to set priorities, clarify requirements, manage the backlog, and establish realistic delivery commitments.

• Track project scope, schedule, budget, staffing, quality, risks, issues, dependencies, milestones, and contractual obligations.

• Identify delivery challenges promptly, formulate corrective action plans, and escalate significant risks with clear recommendations.

• Facilitate communication among client stakeholders, technical teams, vendors, subcontractors, and Allwyn leadership.

• Prepare and deliver project status reports, executive briefings, governance documentation, meeting minutes, decision logs, and other client deliverables.

• Ensure adherence to relevant contracts, statements of work, service-level expectations, security requirements, and client governance processes.

• Assist in project financial management, including resource forecasting, utilization tracking, budget monitoring, invoice validation, and subcontractor coordination.

• Organize testing, release readiness, production deployment, transition, and post-production support activities.

• Aid in proposals, project estimates, staffing plans, oral presentations, and transition efforts for new initiatives.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, Management Information Systems, or a related field.

• Current Project Management Professional certification.

• Approximately 6–10 years of progressively responsible technology delivery experience, including at least 3–5 years managing software development, application modernization, or IT implementation projects.

• Experience delivering projects for federal, state, local, transportation, utility, healthcare, or other public-sector or regulated organizations.

• Previous professional experience in software development, engineering, systems analysis, business analysis, quality assurance, data, infrastructure, or another technical area.

• Proven experience managing software development projects throughout the entire systems development life cycle.

• Strong grasp of Agile delivery practices, including Scrum, Kanban, backlog management, sprint planning, estimation, velocity, release planning, and iterative delivery.

• Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery methodologies.

• Experience managing cross-functional teams, subcontractors, third-party vendors, and geographically dispersed resources.

• Proven ability to manage project timelines, resources, budgets, risks, issues, dependencies, deliverables, and change requests.

• Working knowledge of contemporary technology environments, including cloud platforms, APIs, databases, DevOps, CI/CD, application integration, cybersecurity, and enterprise software architectures.

• Proficiency with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Microsoft Teams, or SharePoint.

• Exceptional written, verbal, presentation, facilitation, negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
