This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Lead the comprehensive planning, execution, and delivery of products for both commercial and government clients, from the point of contract award through design, integration, testing, launch, and on-orbit operations.
• Act as the main liaison with internal teams and external stakeholders, ensuring effective communication, alignment with program goals, and adherence to scope, schedule, and contractual obligations.
• Oversee program scope, schedule, milestones, budget, and deliverables, including the management of integrated master schedules (IMS) and resource planning across diverse teams.
• Create and manage production plans, procurement strategies, and inventory management to facilitate time-phased build schedules and simultaneous payload deliveries.
• Assist the Lead Systems Engineer/Architect in the development of constellation concepts of operations (CONOPS), system requirements, and architectural trade-offs to ensure alignment between mission objectives and technical execution.
• Monitor program performance using established cost, schedule, and technical metrics, and report status, risks, and progress to senior leadership and customers through regular program reviews.
• Proactively identify and manage risks, opportunities, mitigations, and change requests, ensuring timely resolutions to minimize impact on program execution.
• Aid in proposal development, contract execution, and customer briefings, including crafting schedules, staffing plans, and technical/programmatic contributions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
• 5–8+ years of experience in technical program management, systems engineering, or related positions within the aerospace, defense, or space systems sectors.
• Proven experience leading or supporting the execution of space hardware programs (payloads, spacecraft, or subsystems) through development, integration, testing, and operations.
• Strong understanding of multi-disciplinary system development, encompassing mechanical, electrical, optical, software, and/or GNC domains.
• Experience managing intricate schedules, budgets, and cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
• Familiarity with requirements management, verification and validation (V&V), and traceability across system, subsystem, and mission levels (e.g., ensuring alignment from CONOPS through testing and delivery).
• Knowledge of U.S. government contracting environments (e.g., SBIR, STRATFI, TACFI, OTA, or FAR-based programs).
• Demonstrated capacity to work independently, prioritize effectively, and advance programs with minimal oversight.
• Excellent communication skills with experience presenting to both technical teams and executive or customer stakeholders.
