Technical Program Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Establish program objectives, define success metrics, set scope boundaries, and outline sequencing

• Create integrated roadmaps across teams; oversee critical paths and manage trade-offs

• Convert business objectives into technical milestones and engineering deliverables

• Lead integration strategies across services, APIs, data contracts, and environments

• Strategize on reliability, scalability, security, privacy, cost, and observability requirements

• Set operational cadences among internal and dependent teams

• Predict potential bottlenecks and negotiate sequencing and resource allocation with engineering leaders

• Manage RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) and handle escalations with options and recommendations

• Oversee launch strategies, cutovers, feature flags, rollback plans, and runbooks

• Collaborate with SRE/Infrastructure teams on monitoring, alerting, SLOs, and on-call readiness

• Synchronize efforts between engineering, product/business, security/compliance, and operations

• Relay progress and trade-offs to leadership while maintaining a decision log

• Provide insights into project and program status, risks, and post-launch metrics

• Recognize integration risks and identify any missing work, managing systemic risks

• Ensure operational excellence through readiness assessments, runbooks, SLOs, and post-launch validation

⛳️ Requirements

• Solid program management fundamentals, encompassing project planning, dependency mapping, RAID, and stakeholder engagement

• Technical proficiency in system design concepts, APIs, data flows, environments, and CI/CD methodologies

• Proven experience in driving cross-team software, platform, or infrastructure initiatives

• Ability to navigate ambiguity and technical trade-offs; skilled in facilitating decision-making

• Preferred: Background in AI/ML or data platforms

• Preferred: Knowledge of SRE practices, including SLO/SLI, incident management, and observability

• Preferred: Experience with significant migrations, platform modernization, or reliability initiatives
