
Technical Product Owner, Learning Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead the end-to-end development of prioritized enhancements and new features, starting from initial hypotheses and discovery to requirements definition, design, delivery, testing, and measurement.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders throughout the organization, including Development, Marketing, Sales, Operations, and others.
• Work in partnership with the Sr. Director to foster understanding, alignment, and adoption of the Crucial Learning Platform among clients and business stakeholders.
• Coordinate with the SDI Technical Product Owner to ensure consistency across the platform.
• Collect, validate, and document customer feedback and suggestions, both internal and external, transforming them into clear and actionable requirements.
• Facilitate sprint planning and backlog refinement meetings; participate in other Agile ceremonies as necessary, including product releases (1-2 hours in the evening every three-week sprint).
• Craft clear user stories that include superior acceptance criteria.
• Generate product release notes.
• Maintain comprehensive release documentation to keep the entire organization informed and aligned.
• Possess a keen eye for brand-aligned, modern user experiences, while comfortably navigating the challenges of launching a new product both internally and externally.
• Stay updated on trends in learning, technology, business, and customer needs.
• Be a proactive adopter and innovator of AI, actively investigating and implementing emerging AI tools and capabilities to enhance product development, streamline workflows, and improve the learning experience.
• Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) required; Master’s degree preferred.
• 2-5 years of experience in Agile Digital Product Ownership is a firm requirement.
• Demonstrated success in delivering projects in collaboration with engineering, QA, and business partners.
• Experience in developing and prioritizing a clear, concise, outcome-focused, and technically sound product backlog.
• Working knowledge of APIs, integrations, SaaS technology, and WCAG 2.2 AA requirements, with the ability to understand, translate, and create clear technical requirements for engineering teams.
• Capable of working effectively in a fully remote environment, remaining self-directed, communicative, and engaged with a distributed team. A separate, dedicated workspace is essential.
• Detail-oriented and well-organized, with sound judgment and the agility to respond quickly as customer and business needs evolve.
• Ability to balance immediate operational requirements with the long-term product vision.
• Competent in swiftly adjusting backlog and feature priorities in response to changing business needs.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Jira, Confluence, and other product management tools.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
• Preferred: Experience in the learning and development sector (please highlight in your cover letter).
• Preferred: Experience in driving wireframe design concepts.
• Preferred: Experience in developing learning technology solutions (LMS, LXP, LRS, SCORM, xAPI, etc.).
• Preferred: Ability to apply quantitative data analysis to sprints and backlog for making projections, proposals, and assessing consequences and impacts.
