This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Formulate and implement product strategy, technical roadmap, and value proposition for both custom and standard embedded computing products.

• Convert inputs from customers, market research, regulatory requirements, and engineering into product specifications, system-level documents, technical positioning, and lifecycle strategies.

• Assess system architecture, platform compatibility, processor technologies, I/O, thermal, mechanical, power, firmware/software dependencies, and configuration alternatives in collaboration with engineering.

• Assist in technical feasibility assessments, design trade-offs, product configuration choices, and tailored customer solutions.

• Craft technical and commercial value propositions to support Sales and Marketing efforts.

• Collaborate with customers, sales teams, field application engineers, R&D, and global Kontron product teams to comprehend current and future requirements.

• Facilitate early adopter programs, evaluation units, prototypes, and minimum viable products.

• Aid in customer discovery, technical customer acquisition, product demonstrations, trade shows, webinars, and videos as a subject matter expert.

• Oversee product lifecycle management activities, including new product introductions, engineering modifications, end-of-life strategies, sustaining support, and portfolio optimization.

• Perform competitive analysis and track product performance, market trends, technological shifts, component availability, adoption rates, and competitive positioning.

• Maintain pricing structures, roadmaps, configuration guidelines, datasheets, technical presentations, sales materials, website content, and evaluation stock.

• Organize and support internal and external product training, launches, trade show messaging, collateral, and sales enablement initiatives.

• Coordinate project timelines, engineering milestones, launch deliverables, and interdepartmental dependencies.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline is essential.

• An MBA or advanced degree is preferred.

• 5–7 years of relevant experience in product management, product marketing, business development, sales, or a similar role is desired.

• Familiarity with embedded computing, industrial computing, technological products, or complex B2B offerings is advantageous.

• Experience in product development within the embedded computing sector is expected.

• Capability to interpret and modify schematics and layouts for high-frequency bus designs in embedded computing.

• Proficiency in understanding customer needs, market trends, competitive positioning, and product value propositions.

• Practical knowledge of product lifecycle management, go-to-market strategies, pricing, forecasting, and product launch processes is preferred.

• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, operations, sales, marketing, quality, and supply chain.

• Project management skills in overseeing schedules, deliverables, milestones, risks, and interdepartmental dependencies is preferred.

• Background in defense, aerospace, transportation, medical, industrial, regulatory, ITAR, or secure supply chain is preferred.

• Must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident for ITAR compliance.

• Strong ability to influence and work collaboratively with cross-functional, global, and multicultural teams.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.

• Strong capabilities in presentation, documentation, teamwork, negotiation, and problem-solving.

• Ability to establish objectives, drive strategic initiatives, manage competing priorities, and perform under pressure.

• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as necessary, potentially ranging from 25% to 50%.
