This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +1 more state.
• Take ownership of and organize the AI and data roadmap alongside engineering leadership and the founding team.
• Deliver AI experiences tailored to various customer segments and promote their adoption.
• Implement evaluation criteria to ensure AI is reliable within a healthcare context.
• Prioritize incoming requests and direct the team’s efforts towards the most valuable tasks.
• Collaborate with data engineering to establish the analytics foundation utilized by company leadership.
• Set success metrics for features prior to launch, assess outcomes afterward, and phase out ineffective initiatives.
• Report directly to the Co-Founder and COO.
• Work closely on a daily basis with the VP of Engineering, AI engineers, and data engineers.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in product management, currently functioning at a PM or Senior PM level.
• 4 to 8 years of prior hands-on engineering experience as a software engineer or in a similar technical role.
• Proven experience in deploying AI-powered products to production, beyond mere prototypes or internal experiments.
• Capability to independently determine what to create in a rapidly evolving technical landscape and defend the choice against credible alternatives.
• Skill in articulating what an AI technique can and cannot achieve for a specific product challenge, including understanding potential failure conditions.
• Ability to quickly gain technical trust and engage in technical decision-making processes.
• Preferred: Skill in linking short-term decisions to long-term consequences and clearly communicating trade-offs.
• Preferred: Ability to persuade skeptical decision-makers through logical arguments and taking firm stances.
• Preferred: Comfort in organizing complex data and justifying conclusions.
• Preferred: Experience in healthcare, life sciences, or other regulated data environments.
• Preferred: Experience in supporting or planning a data warehouse or analytics development.
• Preferred: Previous experience in a dynamic startup setting.
• Preferred: Work experience in direct-to-consumer health/wellness companies.
• Preferred: Remote work experience and familiarity with Slack.
• Preferred: Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable navigating ambiguity.
