Technical Product Owner – iGaming Architecture

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Malta.

📋 Description

• Implement the product vision and roadmap, focusing on essential platform features, API design, system integrations, and architectural enablers within our B2B customer framework.

• Coordinate roadmap priorities with engineering capabilities, business goals, and regulatory standards.

• Support in addressing complex technical challenges or integration issues that emerge between the core platform and external integrations.

• Collaborate with the Product Manager, Technical Architects, and Lead Developers to define and enhance the architecture of the WHG PAM platform, ensuring it remains scalable, reliable, and maintainable as the platform evolves.

• Create clear and actionable user stories, acceptance criteria, and product documentation for the development team.

• Partner closely with developers and the Product Manager to guarantee the delivery of high-quality features.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience as a Product Owner or in a similar role within the iGaming back-end services sector.

• A technical background with the ability to grasp APIs, data flows, and integrations.

• Experience in managing technical backlogs that include technical debt, architectural enablers, and API versioning using agile methodologies and tools (JIRA, Confluence, etc.).

• Proven experience working across cross-functional teams and managing dependencies among platform, product, compliance, and operations stakeholders.

• Strong written and verbal communication abilities, capable of translating technical details into clear product requirements and executive-level communications.

• Knowledge of user segmentation, bonus mechanics, and player lifecycle strategies.

• Preferred: Experience in contributing to or reviewing system design and architecture documentation.

• Familiarity with regulatory requirements across iGaming jurisdictions (e.g., UKGC, MGA, GLI, US state-level regulations).
